Andrew Liu is an 8th grade student at Imagine International Academy of North Texas, an IB public charter school. Andrew started his piano lessons with Dr. Grace Long when he was six years old. Throughout 7years’ study, Andrew displayed the highest level of discipline and consistency in his piano learning journey.

As a young boy, Andrew has garnered many achievements: gold medalist of TMTA theory exam for the last 7years, Dallas Junior Piano Guild Honor Recital performer for 2018 & 2019, 1st Place of Dallas Piano Solo Competition in 2017 & 2018, 2nd Place in Intermediate Sonatina/Sonata division of 2021 Dallas Symphonic Festival, 1st Class Honor with Distinction of RCM Practical Examination in 2015 (the highest ranking in the state), and 2016 through 2020. In 2020, Andrew was awarded First Prize with Special Honors+ at XIV Sonatina/Sonata International Youth Piano Competition.

Andrew was invited to perform at South Central Region Celebration of Excellence Recital of RCM Certificate Program held at Kimball Arts Museum in February 2020. In the same year, Andrew won the First Place of 2020 AFAF Concerto Competition in his age group (7-13). He was invited to Winners’ Recital at Weill Recital Hall in New York and to Russia to perform with the renowned Kostroma Symphony Orchestra. In June 2021, Andrew made to the finalist of TMTA Piano Solo Performance Contest.  Also in June 2021, Andrew was honored to be invited to PianoTexas International Festival & Academy, a premier and competitive summer piano festival.  There he not only won a place to perform Beethoven Concerto #1 with Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra but also spread joy of music to the world via YouTube live stream.

In his leisure time, Andrew enjoys reading, traveling, swimming, and playing video games.
