Fort Worth, where piano meets the world

Fort Worth's PianoTexas International Academy & Festival presents a full calendar of piano events for the DFW community. Events include piano recitals, classical music concerts, and performances with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra.

Since 1981, such legendary pianists as Menahem Pressler, Olga Kern, Dang Thai Son and Vadym Kholodenko have enchanted audiences at Texas Christian University’s acoustically renowned concert stages: The Van Cliburn Concert Hall, Ed Landreth Auditorium and Pepsico Recital Hall.

In 2022, from 249 applications, our distinguished selection jury invited performers from 23 different countries who will present 20 outstanding recitals during the Festival. Of interest are the concerto competitions for the Young Artists, Juniors and the Teachers/Amateurs with the winners performing with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and Las Colinas Symphony.

We invite to look through the wonderful range of our Festival programming and welcome you to a wonderful uplifting musical experience.

Concerto Concerts

The experience of performing with an orchestra is of paramount importance in building a career in the music profession. With this in mind, PianoTexas is one of a few International Festivals in the world that engages a professional orchestra to perform with Young Artists, Juniors, and Teachers/Amateurs participants. Several performers will be selected to perform in one of the three Concerto evenings when they will present a concerto with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra or Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra.
