Ellen Foreman studies with Peter Steigerwald at MACSA and Professor Victor Rosenbaum at the New England Conservatory. She has won numerous competitions, local to international, has performed in venues such as the Carnegie Hall, and has taken masterclasses from many renowned pianists and pedagogues, including Olga Kern, Stanislav Ioudenitch, Ingolf Wunder, Simone Dinnerstein, Pavlina Dokovska, Boris Slutsky, Michael Lewin, and Jeffrey Cohen.

The recipient of the Adam’s Music House Fellowship, Ellen performed a lecture recital live on KMFA in Decemberver the works of Karol Szymanowski. Recently, she was selected as a finalist for NPR’s “From the Top”, as an artist for the WPTA-Missouri Young Musician Series, and as a Piano Fellow at the Claudette Sorel International Piano Competition. She was also featured as a pianist in the Goethe-Institute Boston’s Beethoven project. This summer, she was invited to participate in the Texas State International Piano Festival, the PianoTexas International Festival & Academy, the Baylor Summer Piano Institute, the Puerto Rico International Piano Festival, and the Eastman Summer Classical Studies Program.

Her other interests besides the piano, she enjoys reading, composition, and mathematics. She is co-captain of the Spiritual Life Club, lead designer of the Newsletter Club, editor of the JTMC Newsletter, board member of H.O.P.E, and social media intern and newsletter editor at Musicale. Ellen is a member of Duke TIP and the MENSA Honor Society.
