Louis Li, is studying at S.K.H. St. Michael’s Primary School. At the age of 8, he started studying the Junior Music Programme at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in piano. Since 2019, he has become a student of Ms. Vanessa WONG Wai-yin, who is a Young Steinway Piano Artist. He has also performed in the master classes of Prof. William Fong and Pianist Gaterina Grewe in the U.K., Prof. John Owings in the U.S. and Prof. Gabriel Kwok and Prof. Eleanor Wong in Hong Kong.

Louis won several prizes in piano competition locally and internationally, including the 1st Prize at Tokyo International Youth Music Competition 2019 in Japan; the 1st Prize at the Purcell International Competition for Young Pianist 2019 in London, U.K.; the 1st Prize at Neapolitan Masters Competition Asia Edition 2020 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; the 1st Prize and Exceptional Young Talent Special Prize at Salzburg " Grand Prize Virtuosos" 26th International Music Competition 2020; the 1st Prize of the 2021 Young Euregio Piano Award in Germany; the 1st Prize and award for Best Beethoven at the 2022 Elevato-Stanza Junior Piano Competition in Germany; and the Grand Prize at 2nd International Artepiano Competition 2022 in Italy.

In Addition, he has won the PianoTexas Concerto Competition 2021 and performed with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra at the Prizewinners Concert in the U.S. Besides, Louis also plays a duet with his fellow apprentice brother. In 2021, they won the 1st Prize in a piano duet competition in Hong Kong and has successfully participated and performed in the Winners’ Concert at the Hong Kong City Hall. Moreover, invited by the Chopin Society of Hong Kong Ltd., Louis performed as a solo pianist in the Young Talents Series in the 6th Hong Kong International Piano Competition 2022 cum the Hong Kong Joy of Music Festival. That was a live broadcast event between Hong Kong and Vienna, allowing a sharing of music with the audience without geographical limitation during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In August, 2021, Louis was invited to perform in an opening ceremony of a charity campaign. He was also invited to perform and broadcast in RTHK 4 in Hong Kong to share his passion of music with audiences. He loves playing the piano and uses it to share all his musical ideas to audiences.
