Meining Wu resides in San Jose, California. She started her first piano lesson at six and is currently studying with Professor Hans Boepple. Meining has won numerous top prizes in prestigious piano competitions. She is the Winner of 2023 Marylin Mindell Piano Competition Junior Division, and awarded “Absolute” 1st Prize in Young Verona Intl’ Piano Competition two years in a row 2021 (Category C) and 2022 (Category B). In 2022, she won 1st place in CAPMT Honors District Competition, 2nd places in Intl’ Competitions including Artcial Professional Category, Pacific Stars Professional Junior Category, 16th Annual LISMA, Finalist of 2022 Weatherford College Intl’ Piano Competition Junior Division (age 13-17), and Finalist (Top 6) of 2022 Seattle Intl’ Piano Competition Youth Group. In 2021, Meining won 1st Places in Windsor Intl’ Piano Competition and Chopin Avenue Concerto Category, Grand Prize of Rising Star category in Chicago, and 2nd places in Bellagrande, ENKOR, Harmonium Online Plus and USIMC Concerto Category, and Top Tier finish in Orbetello Intl’ Competition. Other awards Meining has received also include 1st places with "Young Artist Award" in 2020 USIMC, KAMSA, US New Star and US Open Music Competitions, Finalist (Top 3) in 2020 Pacific Musical Society & Foundation Annual Competition, and 2020 Steinway Virtual Piano Competition US and Canada. Meining had honors to study in master classes with world-class pianists and teachers including Jerome Lowenthal, Alexander Braginsky, Arthur Greene, Rebecca Penneys, Alan Chow, Marina Lomazov, Dmitri Vorobiev, Alexander Kobrin, Sasha Starcevich, Lenora Brown, and Antonio Pompa-Baldi.

Besides piano, Meining is also an art enthusiast, her artwork have also won top prizes in state wide and international art contests such as 1st Place Artwork in 2020-2021 CA Junior Duck Stamp Contest, 3rd Place Winner in 2021 Peace Pals International Art Exhibition and Awards, and Honorable Mention in 2023 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Her other hobbies are horseback riding and swimming.
