Nina Lorik

Nina Iorik is a 14-year-old award-winning pianist from Seattle, Washington, whose musical journey began at the age of nine. Under the guidance of esteemed pedagogues, including Prof. Nino Merabishvili, Jillon Stoppels-Dupree, and Dr. Wyatt Smith, Nina has cultivated her skills in piano, harpsichord, and organ. As a student of the Seattle Chamber Music Academy, she has had the privilege of performing numerous times at Benaroya Hall and collaborating with renowned musicians. 

Nina's impressive resume boasts numerous accolades from prestigious competitions and festivals worldwide. Her awards include multiple Grand Prix and gold medals at events such as the OPUS Foundation Competition, Music Matters Foundation Competition, Northern Lights International Piano Festival, and Sempre Musick Festival and many more. She has also garnered recognition at the Pacific Northwest Piano Competition, International Music Competition "Nouvelles Etoiles," Oberlin Piano Festival, MusicFest Perugia, Russian Chamber Music Festival, and Seattle International Bach Piano Festival, among other musical institutions. Nina is a recipient of the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) Student Service Grant for her project in music (2025). 

In addition to her performing career, Nina is a talented young composer. Her works have been used by local piano teachers. Receiving mentorship at the Merriman-Ross Family Young Composers Workshop, her piece will be performed by musicians of the Seattle Symphony. Additionally, Nina is an active member of several musical non-profit organizations, serving as Regional Co-Director at the Back to Bach Project. She is also Director of Education at ConChord Music and Project CliKK. She shares her passion for music through free recitals and lectures in her community.
