Eunha Basu is a 9th grader from Bedford, MA, and currently studies with HaeSun Paik at the New England Conservatory Prep Division. Eunha has enjoyed performing and competing since the age of six at numerous festivals and competitions at the state, regional, and international levels. In 2024 she won first prize at the Kaufman International Youth Piano Competition, Special Prize at Ettlingen International Piano Competition, first prize at the Steinway Piano Competition (New England regional), and first prize at the Brockton Symphony Orchestra Youth Concerto Competition (MA). Eunha is a recipient of the US Chopin Foundation Scholarship, and a winner of the 2025 National YoungArts Competition. Past honors also include first prize wins at the Oberlin International Piano Festival Competition, Chopin International Piano Competition (Hartford, CT), Aloha International Piano Competition, and multiple MA state and New England regional competitions.
Besides solo piano performance, Eunha is an avid chamber performer through New England Conservatory’s Chamber Music Intensive Performance Seminar (CHIPS). Her piano trio (Trio Verus) has been selected to compete at the 2025 Annual Fischoff Competition. Eunha is also a member of The Back to Bach Project, helping make accessible arts education to young children by engaging in interactive performances in the community and mentorship opportunities. Eunha also gives her time freely to local community events through Boston Cares.
