Ziyu Shao

Ziyu Shao was born in 2010 in China. He started his piano career at the age of 6. Since 2018, Ziyu has been studying with Honored Cultural Worker of the Russian Federation Elena Berezkina at the Gnessin Moscow Secondary Specialized Music School. He was awarded the 1st prize of the International Concerto Competition for Piano and Orchestra (2018 in Dubna), performed at the Festival of the XIV forum"Beshady without Borders" (GoldMedal, 2019 in Poland), laureate of the International Chopin Competition (2019, Poland). 1st prize and the best performance of works by contemporary composers at the XXVI International Competition "Musica Classica" (2019, Ruza). He became the bronze nutcracker of the XX International Nutcracker Television Competition for Young Musicians (2019, Moscow). Winner of the 5th Manhattan International Music Competition

(Gold Medal with Honors, 2020, USA), winner of grants from the mayors of Moscow (2020, Moscow). Winner of the Vladimir Krainev International Competition (2021, Moscow). Grand Prix of the XIV International Competition named after V.I. Safonov (2021, Pyatigorsk), laureate of the XIII International Competition for Young Pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz (2021, Ukraine), 1st prize and Grand Prix of the international competition "Musica Classica" (2023, Ruza), winner of the 6th International Competition for Young Pianists named after Franz Liszt (2023, Weimar, Germany).

Svetlanov, "Gnessin Virtuoso", the Moscow Chamber Orchestra named after Slobodkin and the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Moscow State Philharmonic. He performed in the Kremlin at the festival "Spasskaya Tower" in the Alexandria Hall. Carnegie Hall in the USA.
