
Nine-year-old Maggie Wu is a dedicated pianist from San Jose, California. She began her piano lesson at the age of five and currently studies with Hans Boepple. Maggie has won top prizes in prestigious competitions, including First Place at the 2026 United States Open Music Competition, the 2026 California Association of Professional Music Teachers Concerto Competition, the 2025 Glory Piano Competition and Great Composers Competition Series, and Gold Prize at the 6th WPTA Singapore International Piano Competition. She also earned Second Place at the 2026 Pacific Musical Society & Foundation Competition, the 2025 ENKOR International Piano Competition, the Ocean Music International Piano Competition, Bay Area Piano Competition, as well as Third Place at the KAMSA Piano Competition and a Discretionary Award at the United States International Music Competition. Maggie was recently selected to semi-final round of 2026 Kaufman Music Center International Youth Piano Competition (Junior Division).
Beyond keyboard, Maggie is a visual art enthusiast working in a variety of mediums. Her artwork has won top awards including Celebrating Art National Top Ten, and State Second Place in both the Federal Junior Duck Stamp Contest and Songbird National Drawing Contest. She is also a three-time Champion of the 99 Ranch Market Mother’s Day Drawing Contest.
