Zhimo Chen

Zhimo Chen is currently a junior at Walnut Hill School for the Arts, where she studies piano under the tutelage of Ms. Alice Xu and Ms. Haesun Paik.

She has received numerous awards in major youth piano competitions, including SecondPrize at the Sino-German Youth Union Competition, First Prize at the Sterinborgh Cup, andaSilver Medal at the Hanover International Olympic Competition.

An active participant in international music festivals, Zhimo has appeared at the Royal Youth Music Festival in Bangkok, the e-Piano Festival in Minneapolis, and the Cross-Strait Youth Music Festival in Fuzhou.

At the age of nine, she gave her first solo recital at the University of Minnesota. Morerecently, she has performed in concerts organized by Steinway & Sons in Beijing and appearedas a soloist with the Cross-Strait Youth Symphony Orchestra.

In her spare time, Zhimo enjoys practicing yoga and knitting.
