
Lina Elwood is a 10th grader from Westport, Connecticut, and currently studies the pianowith Svitlana Fiorito and Vitaly Starikov. Most recently, Lina received First Place at theEmory University Young Artist Piano Competition and named the winner of theConnecticut MTNA Senior Piano Competition. She has also won first prizes at SteinwayPiano Competition, Chopin Avenue International Piano Competition, ENKOR InternationalPiano Competition, Renee B. Fisher Piano Competition, Schubert Club AwardsCompetition, among others.
In addition to her solo works, Lina has played with orchestras and chamber music groupsaround the world. Lina has won concerto competitions hosted by some of the majororchestras in Connecticut, including Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Norwalk SymphonyOrchestra and Danbury Symphony Orchestra. She has also played with Warsaw NationalPhilharmonic Orchestra at their concert hall and with K Novart Orchestra at ChopinUniversity of Music Concert Hall, both in Warsaw, Poland. She has also enjoyedcollaborating with fellow student musicians in chamber music groups and is currently a member of her school’s orchestra as a solo pianist and conductor.
Lina has received invaluable guidance through masterclasses from many esteemed pianists,including Alexander Korsantia, Andrzej Jasinski, Amy Yang, Miyoko Lotto, Efrem Briskin,Paul Wirth, Jefferey Cohen, Young Hyun Cho, Bronislawa Kawalla, and AdamGozdzienwski, among others.
