Hayden Miller

Hayden Miller, sixteen, is a sophomore in the classical piano department at the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. He has won first place in numerous local competitions, including the CMTA Concerto, Multi-Era Solo, and Sonata competitions, as well as being a finalist in the Texas Music Teachers Association’s state competition. An avid collaborator, Hayden has worked with musicians including Lucy Wang of the Viano String Quartet and pianist Ryan Martin Bradshaw. Additionally, he has served as collaborative pianist for several vocal recitals and enjoys working with composers and visual artists to create new experiences. He was also commissioned to compose the introduction for The Houston Hour, a local radio show. Hayden has attended the Philadelphia International Music Festival and was featured on the Curtis Institute of Music’s YouTube channel as a part of their Young Artist Summer Program. In addition to his private studies with Dr. Jennifer Hayghe and Piper Ward, Hayden has appeared in masterclasses with artists including Anne-Marie McDermott, Svetlana Smolina, and Dr. Carolyn True.
