Kwong Ching Li

Louis LI Kwong Ching, 9 years old, was born in Hong Kong in 2011. He is currently studying the Junior Music Programme at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts majoring in piano. He began learning the piano in 2016 with Ms Ingrid CHAN and Ms Yeefa CHENG. Since 2019, he has become a student of Pianist Vanessa WONG Wai-yin. He has also performed master-class conducted Prof. William Fong and Pianist Gaterina Grewe from U.K. and Prof. Eleanor Wong from Hong Kong. In 2020, he became the youngest First Prize winner ever in Category A of the Neapolitan Masters Competition Asia Edition in Kuala Lumper. He has won numerous prizes of Piano Solo and Concerto in Hong Kong and overseas including the First Prize at the 70th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival; the First Prize at the 8th Hong Kong International Youth Performance Arts Festival 2021; the Gold Merit Award at the Hong Kong Children and Youth Piano Contest 2020; the 2nd Runner up at Internationaler Bonn Klassik Klavierwettbewerb 2020; the First Prize at Tokyo International Youth Music Competition 2019 in Tokyo; the First Prize at the Purcell International Competition for Young Pianist 2019 in London U.K.; the Gold Prize at the 2nd WPTA Finland International Piano Competition 2020; the Platinum Prize at the 2nd WPTA Singapore International Piano Competition; the First Prize in Concerto Class at International Music Talent Online Competition 2020; the First Prize and EXCEPTIONAL YOUNG TALENT Special Prize at Salzburg " Grand Prize Virtuosos" 26th International Music Competition 2020; the First Prize at St. Petersburg International Piano Competition 2020; the First Prize at Singapore International Piano Competition 2020; the First Prize at Bangkok International Piano Competition 2021; the 1st Runner up and award for Best Performer in Chopin Waltz at Chopin Avenue Piano Competition 2021
