Thomas Hsu

Thomas Hsu is a senior at Strath Haven High School who has played piano for thirteen years and has been studying with Dr. Igor Resnianski for the past four years. He was accepted to the Miami International Piano Festival & Academy in 2017 and 2019 and the New Orleans Piano Institute in 2018. Thomas has also played in various chamber ensembles (primarily piano trios), and his solo repertoire includes the Chopin Op. 10 etudes and Chopin’s four Scherzi, as well as most of Liszt’s Transcendental Etudes. Thomas has performed in various community and charity concerts, such as at senior residences and for aid in Haiti. He also plays violin in his school orchestra and has sung in his church’s choir. In his free time, Thomas enjoys taking photographs, coding, and folding mini paper cranes.
