Yuhe Lu

Yuhe Lu was born in Shanghai, China and began piano around the age seven. Currently, he lives in Dallas, Texas and is a Junior at Heritage High School. He studied piano with Yibing Zhang for the past 3 years. He was the prize winner of several local and international competitions. He received Honorable Mention in the First Radda Rise International Piano Competition, 3rd Prize in the Dallas Solo Competition, 1st prize in the Dallas Symphonic Festival Competition, 1st Prize in the 2019 Texas French Symposium Piano solo Category and 1st Prize in the North Texas Piano Competition 2 years in a row (2019 and 2020). He was also the 1st Place winner in the 2019 2nd China-U.S International Music Competition and made his Carnegie Hall (Weill Hall) debut. In 2020, he won 3rd Prize in the Vernall Gregg Competition and 2nd Prize in the Collin County Young Artist Concerto Competition. Most recently, he won 2nd prize in both “Nouvelle etoile” International music competition and Fujairah International Piano Competition, also 1st Prize in the 2021 “Franz Liszt Center” International Piano competition. Yuhe has participated in master classes with Dr. Robert Roux and Dr. Pamela Paul. Outside Piano, he also enjoys Tennis and Art.
