Gerrit Pronske was born in Anaheim, California, and received piano lessons beginning at age eight. He began serious classical piano studies at age seventeen, studying with the Artist-in-Residence at Texas Tech University, Dr. William Westney. For 22 years, Gerrit studied with the Artist-in-Residence of Baylor University, Krassimira Jordan. Gerrit currently studies with Biliana Dimitrova. Gerrit is a business bankruptcy lawyer in Dallas/Ft. Worth, with the law firm of Spencer Fane. He is a regular speaker at professional seminars and is the author of two books relating to the practice of bankruptcy law, one of which – Pronske’s Texas Bankruptcy, Annotated, is a bankruptcy practice manual currently in its 23rd Edition. Both books are published by ALM Media. During spare time when he is not practicing piano, Gerrit likes to travel anywhere he can, spend time at his house in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, play guitar, and watch podcasts - mostly about either music or economy-related subjects. Gerrit is currently working as an apprentice under a luthier to build an acoustic guitar.
