Lenny Donadio grew up playing piano in Providence, Rhode Island. The bulk of his studies was done with Irina Tchantceva through the Rhode Island Philharmonic Music School. He briefly attended the Hartt School of Music before transferring to American University in Washington, DC to study Political Science. After receiving his bachelors, he moved to Denver and began working in schools. He spent a year as a literacy tutor before earning his Master’s in Education from Denver University. He has taught 7th grade math at McAuliffe Manual Middle School for the past six years. He began seriously reconnecting with the piano once he had the living space to own one. He has attended amateur competitions in San Diego, Boston, and Warsaw. He began studying with Stephanie Shih-yu Cheng in Denver this last year.
