Leonard Donadio

Lenny Donadio grew up playing piano in Providence, Rhode Island. The bulk of his studies was done with Irina Tchantceva through the Rhode Island Philharmonic Music School. He briefly attended the Hartt School of Music before transferring to American University in Washington, DC to study Political Science. After receiving his bachelors, he moved to Denver and began working in schools. He spent a year as a literacy tutor before earning his Master’s in Education from Denver University. He has taught 7th grade math at Manual Middle School for the past eight years. He began seriously reconnecting with the piano once he had the living space to fit an upright. He has been a finalist in domestic amateur competitions in San Diego, Boston, and Washington DC; and was also a finalist in competitions abroad in Warsaw through the Chopin Society and Cremona through PianoLink. He currently studies with Professor Stephanie Shih-yu Cheng in Denver.
