Jonathan Taporco

As a CFA Charterholder and Chief Investment Officer with Alliant Retirement Consulting, Jonathan is an expert in working with plan sponsors to create and manage portfolios associated with defined contribution and defined benefit plans, as well as employee and plan sponsor education. Jonathan chairs the 3(38) Investment Committee for Alliant and is responsible for the oversight of over $24 billion in AUM across the national practice.

Jonathan started his piano and classical music journey in middle school with Martha Ashleigh at her private studio in Modesto, CA and continued to study with her until college where he pursued a degree in Finance at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut. More recently, after spending 20 years away from the keyboard, he has rekindled his passion for classical music with Dr. Sohee Kwon in Austin, TX studying with her for the past three years. Under her guidance and thoughtful tutelage, he was encouraged to pursue performance opportunities at Piano Texas.

Aside from music, he is passionate about investment analysis, financial markets, crypto-currencies, technology, and sharing that knowledge with plan sponsors and participants. He lives in Austin, TX with his wife who has recently retired from a successful corporate career. In his free time, when he isn’t practicing, he enjoys working on German cars, collecting French wines, golfing, and taking walks with his wife and their Goldendoodle Ritz.
