Kathy Abrahamson

Kathy began studying piano at age 5 and received a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Music Theory from the University of North Texas. Afterward, she was a piano teacher and busy collaborative pianist until she was called to a career in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for 13 years before earning a Master of Science and certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in 2009. She has a busy practice in Fort Worth at the FEM Centre. 

After years of self-study, she began studying piano again in 2017 and was a participant in the Cliburn Amateur Piano Festival in 2022. She has performed on recitals, is the pianist for the Fort Worth Medical Orchestra, is an active member of DFW Amateur Piano Group, and is active in her church’s music ministry. 

Kathy lives with her husband of over 41 years and has 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. She enjoys playing piano, singing, needlework and traveling.
