Qianyao Zheng, born in China and started to play the piano at the age of four. In 2010, Ms. Zheng was successfully accepted by Arizona State University School of Music as a piano performance major undergraduate awarded with full scholarship, studied with renowned pianist and artist teacher Robert Hamilton. As a student at ASU, she performed frequently as collaborative pianist in addition to solo appearances. In August of 2011, she was chosen piano winner in the school-wide Concert of Soloists competition, and selected to perform the Liszt Piano Concerto No.1 in E flat Major at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts. In addition to that, she had master classes with famous musicians, including Jerome Lowenthal, Jeremy Denk, and etc.
Ms. Zheng graduated from Arizona State University School of Music as a “Distinguished graduate student” in 2014 and earned her master degree of piano performance at Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in 2016, under the tutelage of Dr. Robert Roux. During her graduate degree study at Rice University, Ms. Zheng has successfully held twodegree recitals and was chosen as one of the finalists in the schoolwide concerto competition. In addition to that, Ms. Zheng showed her great passion and enthusiasm in teaching during her study at Rice University. Ms. Zheng currently co-founded Golden Key Piano Studio with her husband in Sugar Land, TX, where she taught numerous distinguished students who has gained great achievements in various competition worldwide.
