June Kim

I am a proud mom of three and a beautiful Goldendoodle. I began playing the piano at a young age, but at the time I wasn’t particularly interested in classical music or piano. I rediscovered my love for the piano five years ago when I began taking lessons again. After becoming an empty nester two years ago, playing the piano has become a significant part of my life.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, though during my college years I was more into playing the guitar. After moving to the United States from South Korea, I had the opportunity to study guitar and explore a variety of musical styles at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. As ourfamily grew, my focus naturally shifted to raising our children.

I’m currently studying with Dr. Joseph Choi in Austin. In addition to playing the piano, I enjoy hiking, watching movies, and attending concerts.I’mso delighted to participate in PianoTexas this summer.
