Kristi Baker-Lampe holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree and a Master of Music
in Piano Performance/Pedagogy from Kansas State University and a Doctor of Musical
degree in Piano Performance from the University of Kansas. She has produced many awardwinning
pianists and has had several students go on to successful music careers of their own.
addition to her private teaching, Dr. Baker-Lampe served for five years as Adjunct
Applied Piano at Ottawa (Kansas) University, and in 2011 she completed a successful
year career as a public school music educator.
Dr. Baker-Lampe has been an active member of the Music Teachers’ National
Association and its state and local affiliates for most of her career. She has serves
as President of
the Kansas Music Teachers’ Association. MTNA recognized her as a Nationally Certified
Teacher of Music in Piano in 2011, and in 2021, she was recognized with Permanent
Throughout her career, she has been in demand as a solo and collaborative artist,
and adjudicator. She continues to give workshops and master classes to teachers and
throughout the United States, including presentations at a number of American universities
state teachers’ conferences. Dr. Baker-Lampe has appeared throughout the United States
Europe as a singer, conductor, collaborative and solo pianist. Her most recent credits
appearances Kansas, Georgia, Virginia, and Texas, and multiple performances at the
Piano Conference in Novi Sad, Serbia.
