Chonglin Xu

Chonglin Xu is currently pursuing his Artist Diploma at Texas Christian University School of Music under the tutelage of the renowned pianist Dr. Enrico Elisi, refining his artistry on the international stage. Born into a musical family, he began piano studies at the age of five and demonstrated exceptional talent from an early age. He was admitted to the Music School attached to Xinghai Conservatory of Music in 2015, studying under Professor Jay Sun, Vice Chair of the Piano Department, and graduated in 2020 as the top-ranked student in the piano program with the title of Outstanding Graduate. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Xinghai Conservatory of Music under the guidance of Professor Jay Sun and Professor Daming Zhu, where he consistently ranked first in his department, was selected repeatedly for the Outstanding Talent Program, and was honored as a Top-notch Innovative Talent in 2023. Mr. Xu has received artistic guidance from a distinguished roster of world-renowned piano masters, including Michel Dalberto, Gary Graffman, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Gordon Fergus-Thompson, Jerome Rose, James Giles,Zhe Tang, and Yunlin Yang. As an award-winning concert pianist, he has claimed numerous top prizes at prestigious international and national competitions: First Prize at the 2024 Pearl River Kayserburg Scholarship Piano Competition, Champion at the 2024 Phoenix Flower International Piano Competition, First Prize at the 2023 Yamaha Asia Scholarship Piano Competition, Third Prize at the 2023 Steinway National Youth Piano Competition National Finals (Professional Group), First Prize at the 2023 Steinway South China Division (Professional Group), First Prize at the 2023 Osaka International Music Festival Piano Solo Competition and The Winner of TCU Concerto Competition. An active and compelling performer, he has appeared in concerts across U.S.A., Italy, Germany, Japan, South Korea, and China, captivating international audiences with his superb technical mastery, profound musical insight, and passionate, distinctive artistic expression.
