André Previn Peck is a 14-year-old from La Crosse, Wisconsin. He is a student of Dr. Joseph Zins of Crocus Hill Studios in St. Paul, Minnesota and has studied piano since the age of four.
André’s notable accomplishments include being named a’23-’24 Fellow of National Public Radio’s legendary From the Top and a four-time PianoTexas performer. He is an 8-time winner of concerto competitions beginning at the age of 11 with the Fort Worth Symphony, conducted by Miguel Harth-Bedoya. Other competitions include First Prize Schubert Club Student Competition; Finalist Final Forte Madison Symphony Orchestra (featured on PBS Wisconsin and Wisconsin Public Radio); Semifinalist International Young Artist Competition in Chicago; and First Prize Rising Stars of the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra, all in 2024. André also was awarded First Prize in the St. Paul Piano Teachers Association Concerto Competition and Finalist in the Nashville International Chopin Competition, both in 2023; and in 2022, First Prize in the Minneapolis Mozart Teachers Forum Concerto Competition.
He showcases his other passions locally through accompanying, one-time performances for groups, and involvement in his school’s music and athletic programs. André’s interest in giving back to his community using his pianistic gifts includes organizing Kids-Helping-Kids concerts for the La Crosse Children’s Museum, the Memorial Pool, and Logan High School, raising over $12,000. His parents, Christopher Peck and Chau Nguyen, inspire his philanthropy. He studies math and computer science at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse, with plans to earn a mathematics degree concurrently with his high school diploma. Andre’s joie de vivre is reflected in his talent and relationship-based life.
