Katherine Hibbs

Born in Geneva Switzerland, Katherine Hibbs is Swiss American and French currently living in Singapore. Katherine studies classical piano under the guidance of Prof. Albert Tiu at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music of the National University of Singapore. 

Katherine began to play piano at 4 with Dr. Jo Anne Link in Minnesota USA. As 10-years-old, Katherine has received many awards in piano competitions locally and worldwide. Including in 2022, the first prize of the little Mozart International Piano Competition at Carneigie Hall, the Platinum medalist of the Quebec Music Competition and the first prize of Grand Virtuoso International Music Competition in Salzburg, and winner of American Protégé.

In 2023, Katherine competed in Nashville International Chopin Piano Competition USA, won the 3rd Prize. She also won Absolute Award of 2nd Singapore International Music Competition and Platinum Prize of 5th WPTA Singapore IPC of piano concerto category. In Dec 2023, Katherine represented Hong Kong & Macau Region to participate the China grand final of 11th Steinway & Sons in Tianjin Juilliard School, and was among the top finalists.

Katherine has travelled from Asia to major European cities and throughout the United States. She has performed in USA, Italy, Singapore, HongKong, China. Katherine has joined Music Fest Perugia in 2023. She had studied in masterclass with Ilana Vered, John Perry, Ian Jones, Alexandre Moutouzkine, Congyu Wang . 

Katherine speaks multiple languages: English, French and Chinese. Her passions, in addition to piano, including playing chess, drawing, and enjoys crocheting and spending time with her friends.
