Yun-Hsuan Chiang

Yun-Hsuan Shannon Chiang is currently a high school junior at the Juilliard Pre-College in New York as a student of Professor Hung-Kuan Chen and Mrs. Tema Blackstone. She has appeared as a soloist with orchestras including the Taipei International Orchestra, Long-Tan Philharmonic Orchestra, and Tokyo International Art Association Orchestra. She has received prizes in international and domestic competitions, including the International Gyula Kiss Piano Competition, the Rachmaninov International Piano Competition in Japan, the Nan Yang International Music Competition, Nouvelles Étoiles Music Competition and ArsClassica International Junior Competition, and the Freshman Concert Audition in Tokyo, being awarded the Overseas College of Music Masterclass Grant and Dong-He Music Research Society’s KAWAI Music Scholarship. Recently she has performed in Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, Paul Hall, Daiichi Seimei Hall in Tokyo and National Concert Hall in Taipei. Outside of piano, she enjoys composing, playing the bassoon and learning different languages.
