Yun Liang, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in Immunology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Tsinghua University, China and PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of California San Diego and the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Her lab studies autoimmune diseases, diseases in which the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy cells, with the ultimate goal of finding cures for these debilitating disorders. She is an awardee of the National Institutes of Health, National Psoriasis Foundation, and Society for Investigative Dermatology, Wisconsin Partnership Program, Elsevier and Cell Press.

In addition to science, she finds passion in music. She has had the privilege to study piano with Pan Chun, Yevgeny Morozov, and currently Christopher Taylor.  She is a Gold Medalist of the Houston Chopin Society’s Chopin Amateur Competition, winner of the New York Piano Society YouTube Competition and finalist in the Washington International Piano Artists Competition.
