Grant Gayle

Grant Gayle began his piano studies at the age of nine.  He received his classical training from both Eric Boston and Gabriel Sanchez from elementary school onward through high school. While studying civil engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, he continued his studies with the Butler School of Music faculty, and frequently performed in recitals for non-music majors. Also during his college years, he gained experience playing chamber music, performing regularly in various ensembles within the Engineering Chamber Orchestra of UT Austin. He has over a decade of experience as a Catholic church pianist. He has recently resumed his classical piano studies with Gabriel Sanchez to pursue more performance opportunities since finishing school. A Dallas-Fort Worth native and resident, he has attended every Van Cliburn International Piano Competition since his teenage years, and is a frequent concert-goer to many of the Cliburn concerts. He works as a civil engineer for Brown and Caldwell, where he designs wastewater treatment plants.
