Sing Lee started piano at age 8. He graduated Yewon school, Seoul, Korea, as a piano major and learned from Kyung-Sook Lee until he stopped pursuing piano at 14. Currently he is a professor in the department of Mathematics at University of South Florida. He started to take piano lessons again in 2018 and studied with Vladimir Khokhlov and then with Kyu-Youn Butler. Since the summer of 2022 he has been studying with Barry Snyder, a professor emeritus from Eastman School of Music. He won the 1st Amateur Piano Competition in 2020 hosted by WPTA USA-Missouri, performed with Las Collinas Symphony Orchestra in Dallas, TX after winning 2022 PianoTexas Concerto Competition, and was a semi-finalist at the 2022 Amateur Van Cliburn competition.
