Rita touched the keys of a piano for the first time when she was 5, and has been taking serious training with uninterrupted enthusiasm ever since. She actively participated in major youth piano competitions in her teenage years and won several awards. Later with broad interests in a variety of fields, she obtained university degrees in computer science in Melbourne and developed a career in leadership assessment, ever as senior organization development manager in multi-national companies and now a lead consultant specialized in executive assessment center design and operations. Having lived and worked in China and US for the past 20 years she has now settled down in Toronto. Balancing a professional role with family duties has not been easy and made her away from regular piano practice for quite some years. Rita resumed piano practicing again in 2022, and by far she is pretty sure the miraculous feeling of being able to touch her childhood pianist dream again, interpreting music in different ways with enriched life experience has been the most inspiring part of her life. Rita performed with the Fort Worth symphony Orchestra in Pianotexas 2023 as one of winners of the concerto competition. Rita is not only eager and excited to become a student again, but also looking forward to connecting with people sharing the passion for music. Besides piano, she also loves ballet, received formal training since childhood and continued into another enthusiasm for life.
