Qizheng Wang is a young pianist from China. He has performed in important concert halls in China, Poland, the United States and Spain. His passion for piano performance stems from his love for classical music.
Mr.Wang won the first prize of Dali International Piano Art Festival Piano Competition, Carles and Sofia International Piano Competition. During his undergraduate studies, he was selected for the university's top talent training program. He also won the Asian Yamaha Scholarship Competition. He was invited to perform Mozart K.466 Concerto with Harbin Symphony Orchestra and Brahms F minor Piano Quintet in Warsaw. Mr. Wang has also received high and full scholarships to participate in music festivals such as Piano Summer in New Paltz, Gijon International Piano Festival, Piano Texas, Zhejiang Conservatory of Music International Piano Festival, etc.
He started to study piano with Yuan Jie at the age of 15, and was admitted to Zhejiang Conservatory of Music at the age of 18 to study with Han Qin and Andrew Tyson. He completed the Artist Diploma at the Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw with Elzbieta Tarnawska and Piotr Paleczny. This year he will go to TCU to continue his Master of Music studies with Piano Texas Director Tomas Ungar. He has performed in master classes of many world-renowned musicians such as Sergey Babayan, Vladimir Feltsman, Evgeni Bozhanov.
In addition to piano playing, Mr. Wang is also a professional badminton player and a member of the Chinese Ski Association.
