Wanqing (Jennie) Jiang is a sophomore student from Dalian, China and currently study with Ran Dank at Eastman School of Music. She began studying piano at the age of 5 and quickly developed a passion for the instrument. Over the years, she owned her skills and developed musical talent and technical prowess. Wanqing's education in music began at the Affiliated Middle School of ShenyangConservatory of Music in 2015, where she earned her middle school and high school diploma in piano performance.
Throughout her musical journey, Wanqing won many piano competitions. She was the Champion of Hong Kong International Music Festival Concerto and Ensemble Competition in Piano Concerto-Young Artist Group in 2018, where she performed Beethoven Piano Concerto No.1 with the Hong Kong Metropolitan Pop Orchestra. She was also the winner of the 7th Manhattan Music Competition in Young Artist group in 2023, the second place in Beijing International Music Festival and Academy (BIMFA) Piano Solo Competition in 2020, and Shanghai International Chamber Music Festival in 2019 in piano duet. In 2024, She was also selected as one of the 8 contestants admitted to the Semi-final round of the North American piano competition in Milwaukee and will be one of the 24 performers in PianoTexas in 2024.
Wanqing also actively performs in various concert halls and music festivals around the world, including Studzinsky Hall at Bowdoin International Music Festival in Maine, USA, where she performed solo and chamber works by Bach, Farrenc, Mozart, and Brahms. She has also given concerts and recitals at Werner Recital Hall in Cincinnati, Tianjin Grand Theater, and Shenyang Conservatory of Music in China.
Wanqing's passion and dedication to music have been the driving force behind her achievements. She continues to work hard and improve her skills, to share her love and passion for music with audiences around the world.
